Watch The Expanse
I've previously written about a book series I like. Now it's been made into a TV show.
The Expanse is a new show based on the books by James S.A. Corey. It's a pretty close adaptation; having read the books, I didn't get too many surprises from the plot. The set design and visual effects are gorgeous. And the acting—especially by Thomas Jane as a detective with nothing left to lose—is very good. I'm looking forward to hearing him deliver his signature line, "Doors and corners, kid." There is a lot of character development for the other characters, too, so hopefully this show lasts for several more seasons.
